Autumn Winter 2013-2014 Saint Laurent

If whenever I said I don't like sequins, I take it back! Ready to wear collection by Saint Laurent is full of perfect sequin dresses I will be dreaming about till autumn comes. Actually I will be wondering not only about them dresses, 'cos collection by Slimane is all full of perfect garments, perfect in it's 60's references and perfect in it's modern character.

On the catwalk we see a bit bored boho girl during her day. Firstly she is running through the city in perfect leather jacket. She wears skinnies to feel comfy and mixes white shirt with checked skirt to look smart. Evening looks of her's are shiny, yet sophisticated. Short sequined or studded dresses are mixed with golden boots and simple, plain coats. Entourage to this looks are fringes, hats, simple jewellery and casually made make up. Over all outfits a bit nonchalant, a bit rebelious, underlining independence and underground attitude of Saint Laurent's woman.

Hedi Slimane don't loose a sense of reality by bringing this figure to present. Young and strong, affirming the boyish style during the day and becoming sophisticated queens of the night are main customers of the brand, so designer is meeting required needs.Overall idea of collection is perfect. There is nothing more timeless than classic and Slimane's catwalk girl will be in fashion tomorrow, in a year and in a decade. 

Isn't it the best advertisement Saint Laurent can have? 

Black and white always looks modern, whatever that word means.

Playing with quotes is entertainment, which 53R102K4 offered to get us closer as a couple. Everyday he is sending me a quote. I like that he is a proponent of games, which leads through fun to knowledge. As I am so into improving every single detail in my life I decided to give it a try. 

Quote he send me is by Aristotle and says: 'We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence then is not an act, but a habit.' Isn't it formative? Especially with my state of mind I think he hit a jackpot by sending it to me, while I am in such moment in my life. It reassured me in my  decisions, esp. that is just Tue and I feel tired like there would be no weekend for ages...

I felt tired even in the morning, so I postponed moment of waking up. I was snoozing the alarm so long that I end up with a little time to prepare. In a rush I always go for simple solutions such as black and white combos. It always works.

Autumn Winter 2014-2015 McQ Alexander MacQueen

How to make simple design sophisticated? Recipe for it is in a possession of Sarah Burton, whose AW 2014-2015 for McQ Alexander MacQueen collection does so. (For me it can be renamed to I-Want-Them-All!!, cos I do want it all!!!)

During collection creation designer collaborated with Yoshiyasu Tamura. Japanese artist created a comic book strip print used in a collection subtly and without grotesque effect. Print creates interesting details appearing on a patch of jumpers, jeans and jackets. 'Oversized' seem to be motto of collection. It does not surprise though, cos all looks seem to provide both warm and comfort, which is so desperately needed during cold winter weather..

If you wish to fit into the street style canon, I strongly advise to follow McQ Alexander MacQueen lead. Monochromatic, chic and sassy style with allegories to Asian pop culture definitely will find itself on the avenues of fashion capitals.

Some people walk in the rain, others just get wet.

Spring has come and it brought first spring rains in Czech. 

Dressing nicely while rainy weather I consider as very challenging. Firstly I have to take care of my hair as I have a fluffy type. I need an umbrella or a hoodie to have a false feeling it will look good all day. I call it false feeling, 'cos even protection may not help and even a bit of moisture in the air can make me look like a poodle. 

Walking in the rain is also not very convenient 'cos I need a pair of shoes which will be both waterproof and not from anything plastic alike. I want my shoes to be on my feet from the moment I leave my flat till I come back so it needs to be comfy. I hate the idea of changing shoes in the-OFFICE. Why? Well, let's face it, there is no pair of shoes, which I will feel-like-wearing every single day 365 days per year! Bringing them with me? Doesn't sound too convenient either- brings to my mind being a turtle and necessity of dragging my home always with myself (and on my back!).

It may be not a lot of factors to be focused on, but they are crucial to feel comfy. Fashion apart from making me look fabulous, has to be useful, so for my rainy set I choose khaki jacket with hoodie and canvas Vans with rubber sole which isolates me from wet pavement.

There are always flowers for those who want to see them

And the weekend is nearly over... So fast as always :/ This is two days off that I have from the-OFFICE and also two days when I am the busiest, even more than during the weekdays. 

This weekend wasn't different at all... Waking up early and on my full power from the very morning I was focused on my aim (I wrote about it before- I am stating small goals each week to make my plan more embraceable). In between project related activities I found, surprisingly, time to make a bit of spring-cleaning. A bit cos of two reasons. Firstly cos I managed to clean properly just part of the flat, secondly cos for proper spring cleanings will be more time when officially spring will begin. 

Spring cleaning was not the only achievement this weekend. Sometimes I am so busy that I forget about crucial part of my life: Mr. 53R102K4. This weekend it was one of my little aims to find for him time. Yesterday we went for Laser Game (running around like crazy with the gun replaced gym) and today we went for a walk and lunch in the best sushi place in Brno. 

And now, when I am sitting again in front of my laptop improving my plan to concur the world I ut on a post-it a note to remember about small pleasures in between job-stuff. These couple of hours during the week is not much and I feel both satisfied with work related stuff and happy in my private life.
