DIY: DENIM SHORTS

I create a web of articles regarding my favorite trends and items. Today I  bring back to the table my very favorite garment: DENIM SHORTS.

Denim is for life! If bought smartly, it stays with you forever, but sometimes it may need undergo slight metamorphosis. (If you need help buying perfect denim, check my tips HERE).

As denim is such a hot trend this spring, I wanted to share Denim DIY inspiration. This time I decided to remake a pair of Levis 501 pants. I found them during closet clean up and discovered I didn't wear them for ages. (Tips how to clean your closet you can find HERE). The problem with them is that, it perfectly fits my butt, but unfortunately legs are not perfect anymore. Not to toss it, I decided to remake it into shorts. Check below two simple ways how to make shorts.

PHASE 1: PREPARE YOUR LONG LEGGED DENIM TO BECOME SHORTS.

PHASE 2: DECIDE WHAT KIND OF SHORTS YOU WANT: TURN UP OR FRYED*.

 

* TIP: When you damage finishing of legs remember: WITH TIME TI IS GOING TO FRAY MORE EVERY TIME YOU WEAR OR WASH IT. When I cut legs, I leave a bit of space at finishing. I let time to do the job, what gives it amazing natural effect. Until its length is not perfect, I turn it up to get expected shape.
